MINERAL Exploration
After its incorporation in January 2020, ZGCL through its Geology Department embarked on a rigorous exploration campaign under the Kasenseli Gold Project (KGP), where phased exploration activities were conducted. The activities included:
- geochemical soil sampling,
- ground geophysical survey,
- anomaly testing through diamond drilling and,
- preliminary resource drilling.
Resource drilling has been conducted up to inferred stage and is scheduled to be upgraded to measured stage in the upcoming exploration campaign. A similar staged approach is scheduled to be replicated in all its exploration licences with works in the Rufunsa licence already at the soil sampling stage.
Through an exploration-driven approach, we intend to expand our footprint in the gold mining sector in Zambia and therefore remain open to all gold related partnerships, provided the proposed gold project is able to pass the technical and investment requirements set out by the company.
